Family, friends, and loved ones are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Cooper Austin Sullivan, who passed away on May 23, 2026, at the age of 24. Born on February 1, 2002, Cooper was the youngest child of Duane and Cathy Sullivan and was deeply loved by all who knew him.
A graduate of Lebanon High School, Cooper answered the call to serve his country at just 18 years old when he enlisted in the United States Air Force. During his military career, he proudly served as a Senior Airman and had recently been selected for promotion to Staff Sergeant. He also served honorably in the Honor Guard, a responsibility he carried out with deep respect and pride.
Throughout his service, Cooper was stationed at Ramstein Air Base in Germany, Nellis Air Force Base, and Robins Air Force Base, where he worked as an HVAC technician. Friends and fellow service members remember him as hardworking, dependable, and committed to excellence in everything he did.
Beyond his military accomplishments, Cooper will be remembered for his laid-back personality, infectious smile, and ability to bring joy to those around him. Loved ones describe him as goofy, caring, and fiercely loyal to his family and friends. Whether spending time outdoors hunting and fishing or simply relaxing with those he loved most, Cooper embraced life with warmth and authenticity.
He also shared a special bond with his dog Axel, who was a constant companion and source of happiness in his life.
Cooper is survived by his parents, Duane and Cathy Sullivan; his grandmother, Lucille Thomas; brothers Chase Sullivan and Caleb Sullivan; sister Cayley Sullivan; his niece Adaleigh; along with many extended family members and friends who cherished him deeply.
Funeral services honoring Cooper’s life will be held at Green Hill Church on May 30, 2026, with military honors following at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.
Though his life was far too short, Cooper Austin Sullivan’s legacy of service, kindness, and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
He will be deeply missed and always remembered.
